A dozen reasons why " I love comic books "

Art for comic art sake...beautiful stuff.  Some mock covers and a one minute later cover to boot...enjoy

The Unauthorized Tarzan...

Recently Dark Horse comics put out this tome of fantastic Tarzan tales otherwise forbidden by the ERB people until NOW!!!  In the 60's Charlton comics ( Thinking Tarzan was public domain ) started producing Tarzan comics...mostly with art by Sam Glanzman...the comic book was titled "JUNGLE TALES OF TARZAN"  it was an anthology of short stories...but it was not public domain.  The ERB people took all the art and destroyed it and told Charlton to stop immediately producing any more Tarzan comics...They had no choice.
Well lucky for us...Dark Horse has collected the four issues ...along with some unseen art for a Tarzan newspaper strip drawn by Sam Glanzman and put out this fantastic book.  The whole story is told in the foreward and a special passage about the rediscovered Tarzan art otherwise unseen for 49 years!!!

I highly advise ...go out and get this book.  You will not be disappointed.  It's got great story adaptations and fantastic art.  Needless to say I love this book.

The LONE RANGER 75th Anniversary DVD collection....

I know very well that this DVD set came out in 2008...but I was waiting to get it at the right price and I am happy to have obtained it from Ebat for 15 bucks plus shipping...21 dollars altogether.  I don't like to pay more than 20 dollars for a DVD so I considered this a good deal.

There is a 80 year anniversary DVD set out now too in case you're interested.  But the 75th is absolutely awesome.  It's loaded with goodies....It's got the complete seasons 1 and 2 on 12 discs that's for 78 episodes.  It also has a bonus feature disc with 3 of the 1966 cartoons and a classic Lone Ranger LASSIE episode.  It has a ton of momorabelia....an 88 page commemoritive book a rare mini comic reprint of the origin of the LONE RANGER and rare photo reprints.  It's also got a gaggle of other neat limited edition collectibles.  I figured with the Disney film coming out soon I'd better finally get my copy of this DVD set now...  I'm gonna thrill to those days of yesteryear...all 1,900 minutes!!!

The Savage Sword of Conan magazine (1974) #79

There has been a lot of talk on the facebook fan page " The Artistry of John Buscema " about John's creation BRONT...so while looking up more info I came across this Youtube video featuring Savage sword # 79...BRONT is the back up feature in this magazine.  So...now I have to go dig through all my old Savage sword's just to see if I have the issues with that BRONT back up.   Sigh...the life of us Crazy collectors.

All Star Squadron : NO that is not me

I found this video on youtube and was recently thinking about posting my favorite All star squadron covers.  Quite by accident I discover this video just by randomly Googling All Star squadron.  Funny though...his collection mirrors my own. So I thought...what the hell share the video.  Enjoy. :)
